TMX D BLUE

This is an additive that prevents the formation of ADBlue crystals in the catalyst that removes harmful CO and NOx emissions.

ADBlue is a 32.5% urea solution in water designed to meet Euro 6 standards through a catalytic reduction process of CO and NOx gases. During the process, urea (CH₄N₂O) is converted into ammonia (NH₃). At high temperatures and in contact with water and combustion gases from the engine, carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), which are harmful to health, are eliminated.

Since ADBlue requires high temperatures (>260°C) for these reactions to occur, the engine may not reach such temperatures during short trips. These temperatures are common in trucks driving long distances, but less so in buses and cars making frequent stops in cities.

When vehicles don’t reach this temperature, ADBlue breaks down into different substances that prevent the reduction of pollutants. This not only fails to reduce pollution but also threatens to damage the catalyst, where small white crystals start to accumulate and must be dissolved and removed.

This additive is specially designed to disperse, dissolve, and remove substances deposited in the urea injector and SCR catalyst. It can therefore act as both a preventive and corrective solution for crystal formation.

BENEFITS:

· Promotes lower exhaust gas emissions, thus protecting health.
· Prevents crystal formation.
· Removes deposits in the urea injectors and SCR catalyst caused by degraded, untreated ADBlue.
· Prevents future costs by keeping the SCR catalyst clean.

Dosage rates:

250 ml treat up to 100 L of ADBlue and should be dosed regularly as a preventive additive, or directly into the urea injectors when solid crystal formation occurs.
